QUARTZ

GRANITE

Quartz countertops contain crushed quartz mixed with resin in a ratio of 93% quartz to 7% resin. They are manufactured in a variety of different patterns and colors.

Quartz is non-porous and does not require any sealing

Quartz is stain-resistant

Quartz is not heat/cold resistant.

Hot items should not be set directly on quartz.

The natural stone is known for its beautiful variations in color, depth and individual characteristics. It is made up of quartz, feldspar and mica, creating a surface that is very scratch resistant. No two pieces of granite are alike and can very significantly in shading and color.

Granite is porous and requires sealing to be stain-resistant (sealing yearly).
